Inspired by the connections between visual art and music, three artists - Jacque Michelle Malick, Megan McCarthy and Cyndy Hinkelman-Smith - share their interpretation and sentiment of select music onto their canvases. Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" was chosen as the exhibit tile based on issues important to the artists The resulting collection of work demonstrates the unique way concepts and emotions can be conveyed through visual art.
a variety of musical genres that address a myriad of issues relevant to our current times was critical in the creation of this exhibit. Political unrest, defending democracy, immigration, racism, equal rights, protecting the environment, mental illness, war...
